A placement test is required in both English and mathematics when you enroll in these courses for the first time with UMUC. These tests will ensure that you enroll in the course that is most suited to your current level of skill in the subject.

Be sure to allow time for your test to be scored and reported before registering for courses.

There are two options for taking placement tests—in person at a UMUC-Europe computer lab or field representative office or with a UMUC-approved proctor.
